The active surveillance driven STD Surveillance will provide detailed information on demographics, behaviors, and clinical history of persons who attend STD clinics in one of 12 cities around the US. The information will enable public health officials to understand important characteristics of persons tested for STDs and develop interventions to decrease STD transmission.
