The OTS and other financial institution regulatory agencies, in conjunction with the Conference of State Bank Supervisors, have iussed proposed guidance summarizing the principies of sound liquidity risk management issued by the agencies in the past and where appropriate, bring those principles in conformance with the Basel Committee's "Principles for Sound Liquidity Risk Management and Supervision."

OTS is citing an increase in burden due to the fact that the guidance is new collection instrument. The proposed guidance summarizes the principles of sound liquidity risk management that the agencies have issued in the past and, where appropriate, brings them into conformance with the ÂPrinciples for Sound Liquidity Risk Management and Supervision issued by the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS) in September 2008. The agencies are now finalizing the guidance in the form of a policy statement.
