This ICR contains recordkeeping and reporting requirements for the Renewable Fuels Standard (RFS2) Program that may affect parties prior to the effective date of July 1, 2010. We anticipate that many parties will want to register well in advance of the start date of the program. This ICR is related to EPA ICR Number 2333.02.

The change is due to regulations that implement the amendments to Clean Air Act Section 211(o), Renewable Fuel Standards, made by the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007, and that take effect before July 1, 2010. The program change due to agency discretion covers registration for a new RIN transaction reporting system EPA has developed to reduce burden and data errors.
