The Office of Migrant Education seeks your assistance in collecting information on the services binational migrant students receive through the Title I, Part C Migrant Education Program. The information you will provide will help in identifying areas that are operating successfully and those that are in need of further refinement and development. As well, responses to this survey will inform upon future collaboration and technical assistance activities.
Enclosed please find a State MEP Director Survey on the Binational Migrant Education Program for 2009 -2010. We understand your busy schedules and have limited the survey to the minimum data elements we feel we need.
The survey seeks both quantitative and qualitative information on your binational migrant student population and your services to this population. The survey also seeks information on how to improve binational services. Please share the data you may have available in these areas. You are encouraged to share any additional comments or suggestions for improving the binational migrant student initiative on a separate sheet of paper.
Your responses will be summarized with those of other migrant educators across the country. Please fax the completed survey to the Department’s contractor, Texas State University at San Marcos at (512) 245-0588. The deadline for returning the survey is Friday, October 1, 2010.
