Welcome to Export.gov’s new user registration. The registration process collects certain information that
will assist us in providing a customized website for our users. The login also grants users access to

additional information, such as Trade Leads and Market Research. Please note that Trade Leads and
Solutions
Market Research are not available to all users. If you have any questions regarding the registration
process, please complete our Website Feedback form.

Account Types
There are 3 account types to select from:
• U.S. Organization – A U.S. Organization is a United States citizen, corporation, partnership, or
other association that exports or seeks to export goods or services produced in the United
States; or a foreign corporation, partnership, or other association which is more than 95% owned
by U.S. citizens or associations that exports or seeks to export goods or services produced in the
United States.
• U.S. Student/Researcher – A U.S. Student/Researcher is someone who attends or works at a
university or learning institution physically based, or with a campus in the U.S or a non-U.S.
university or learning institution that operates active affiliates and/or exchange programs with
U.S. based institution(s) (i.e., exchange programs, partnerships/programs with U.S. universities,
etc.). Students/Researchers must register with the U.S. address of the U.S.-based learning
institution in order to be granted access.
• Non-U.S. Organization – An organization that does not qualify as a US Organization is
designated as a Non-US Organization.
Basic Information on Exporting Checkbox
If you are new to exporting or new to the Export.Gov website, check this box. In checking this box, you
will receive additional information about the basics of exporting and of using this website. When you are
comfortable with Export.Gov and no longer require the additional information, edit your User Preferences
and uncheck the box to turn it off.
E-Mail Address
When entering your e-mail address, please enter the e-mail address of your
business/organization/institution.
This report is authorized by law (15 U.S.C. 1512 et seq., 15 U.S.C. 171 et seq.). Public reporting for this collection of information is estimated to
average 5 minutes per response, including the time for reviewing instructions, and completing and reviewing the collection of information. All
