The collection asks U.S. exporters standard questions about company details, export experience, information about products / services they wish to export and exporting goals. ITA staff use this information to gain an understanding of client's needs and objectives so that they can provide appropriate and effective export assistance tailored to an exporter's specific requirements. Exporters obtain these forms from ITA websites and the forms are filled out and submitted via e-mail.

The Commercial Service (CS) has been tasked to double exports within the next five years as part of the President’s National Export Initiative (NEI) and has launched a strategy to target experienced exporters and encourage them to expand their exports into new markets. CS has created the Strategic Partner Program (SPP) and wishes to obtain approval to create a “Client Registration” form, which is a slightly modified version of the currently approved “Export.gov Registration” form. The CS would like to use the “Client Registration” form with clients that will be referred to the CS via partners, such as Federal Express, under the SPP beginning on June 15, 2010.
