Abstract: Findings from the study will be included in a final report to ASPE and manuscripts aimed at scholarly peer-reviewed journals, such as Health Affairs, Journal of the American Medical Informatics Association, or Journal of General Internal Medicine. The final report will be aimed at a broad policy audience of interested, nontechnical staff at the federal and state levels. As described in a press release from CMS just before the launch of the PHRC pilot (CMS Office of Public Affairs 2008), the data Mathematica proposes to collect will be a key tool for planning, as the data will provide a means to evaluate innovative ways to better serve Medicare beneficiaries.
