This information collection will allow SSA to gather the information necessary to reissue Economic Recovery Payments (ERPs) to the estates of deceased Social Security beneficiaries and Supplemental Security Income recipients who died before they could deposit the ERPs.
This emergency clearance is required in order for SSA to gather the information necessary to reissue Economic Recovery Payments (ERPs) to the estates of deceased Social Security beneficiaries and Supplemental Security Income recipients who died before they could deposit the ERPs. Because the deadline for issuing these payments is at the end of this year, we need to collect information by fall the latest, so an emergency clearance is needed now so we can start collecting information as soon as possible.
