PARENTS

A) IF POTENTIAL PARTICIPANT CALLS IN:

Thank you for calling us. (Eureka Facts is working with) Child Trends (who) is conducting a research study on the relationship between parents of children under the age of five and those who care for or teach their children. We’ll be conducting a series of group discussions to learn from parents about what’s important in these relationships. We will use this information to help look at the relationships between parents and those that care for or teach their children. We are currently recruiting parents with children under the age of five who are in child care, or attend Head Start, or preschool.

The focus groups will last approximately 2 hours. Food will be provided during the group and, as a token of our appreciation, we will give you $50 at the end of the focus group.

In order to make sure that you are eligible to participate in the study, I need to ask you a few questions. This will take about 5 minutes. Do you have any questions before I begin?

Just in case we get disconnected, can I get the phone number that you are calling from?
