Narrative of Revisions

The purpose of the Narrative of Revisions is to clearly indicate revisions to a collection since the previous approval

The following listed below are revisions to the collection:

  • USCG is submitting this change request due to the current Privacy Act Statement not being the approved version supported by DHS Privacy.


  • Changed the following sections of the Privacy Act Statement to read as follows:

1. Change the last sentence:

From:

“I agree for my contact information to be shared with the U.S. Coast Guard and members of the National Incident Command/Federal Government.”

To:

“I agree for my contact information to be shared with the U.S. Coast Guard and members of the National Incident Command.”

2. Change Routine Uses:

From: “The USCG will be the primary user of the information submitted for oil skimming equipment. All of the equipment and contact information will be retained at Coast Guard Headquarters COMDT (CG-432). However, the equipment and contact information may be shared with other Coast guard offices (such as the National Incident Command) if the oil skimming equipment is determined to be viable for use in the Deepwater Horizon Response. We will contact the submitter and obtain consent prior to release to any person or entity outside of the Federal Government.


DHS may share contact information pursuant to the routine uses published in DHS/ALL-002 DHS Mailing and Other Lists Sytem of Records (73 FR 71569, November 5, 2008).”


To:

The equipment and contact information may be shared with the National Incident Command, a multi-agency and private sector response team, if the oil skimming equipment is determined to be viable for use in the Deepwater Horizon Response. Additionally, DHS may share contact information pursuant to the routine uses published in DHS/ALL-002 DHS Mailing and Other Lists System of Records (73 FR 71569, November 25, 2008).”
