Abstract: The Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy has conducted four Solar Decathlons on the National Mall in Washington, DC. These each demonstrate up to twenty houses, designed and built by college students (decathletes), that supply all of their own energy needs from solar power collected by the house. These surveys will provide data for an evaluation of the impact of these demonstrations on visitors to the Solar Decathlons and on the decathletes.
