This pretest is approved consistent with the changes to the protocol and data evaluation goals set out in the supplemental document dated 12-22. ERS should submit a report on the results of the evaluation of the field test data to OMB/OIRA in advance of finalizing the design and protocol for the full study.

The purpose of the collection of this data is to design, develop and carry out a nationally representative survey to collect information on the food purchases and acquisition patterns in U.S. households.
