Abstract: This information is required by the grant application to assist the Department in selecting the Department in selecting the highest ranked applicants to receive funds under the Section 3 Program Implementation and Coordination NOFA. The information collected from quarterly and final progress reports will enable the Department to evaluate the performance of agencies that receive funding and determine the effectiveness of the funding for increasing the capacity of recipient agencies to comply with the regulatory requirements of Section 3.

Emergency Justfication: The Department is seeking emergency review and approval of this information collection which supports the issuance of $550,000 available through the Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity, Economic Opportunity Division. The Department needs to publish a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) immediately. The use of normal clearance procedures is reasonably likely to prevent the collection of the required information.
