The purpose of this collection is to allow the importation, subject to certain conditions, of live swine, pork, and pork products from certain regions that are free of Classical Swine Fever (CSF) in Chilie and Mexico.

Name of Law: The Animal Health Protection Act of 2002
By combining 0579-0235, CSF Status of Chile, and 0579-0333, Importation of Pork and Pork Products, into 0579-0230 will eliminate redundancy and duplication of effort because similar information is collected from these countries.
By combining these information collections there is an adjustment of +6 respondents causing an increase to the number of responses by +36 resulting in an increase of +36 total burden hours.
