Rule 702 of Regulation MC is intended to mitigate conflicts of interest with respect to security-based swap execution facilities and security-based swap exchanges. The rule is designed to provide the Commission with information that would help enable it to ensure that the activities of these entities is consistent with the Exchange Act.
