Dear <NAME>:

Recently, we sent you instructions on how to update your contact information via the Education Longitudinal Study of 2002 (ELS:2002) website. If you have already completed this update, we thank you! If you have not yet had an opportunity, this is a friendly reminder to please spend about five minutes to update this information at your earliest convenience. We greatly appreciate your help with this critical effort.

One of the most powerful aspects of ELS:2002 is that it follows a cohort of young adults through their high school education and beyond, into the workforce, through further schooling, and while starting families. Learning about your experiences and those of the other sample members over time will help educators, researchers, and policymakers better understand what drives young adults to academic and professional success.

We appreciate your continued support of ELS:2002. Please visit the web address below and use the study ID provided to update your contact information. ELS:2002 is sponsored by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) in the U.S. Department of Education’s Institute for Education Sciences. NCES is authorized by federal law to conduct this study (Public Law 107-279, Section 153). Data will be used only for statistical purposes and may not be disclosed or used, in identifiable form for any other purpose except as required by law (Public Law 107-279, Section 183).
