The Commission has a program to
monitor the impacts of the universal service support mechanisms.
The program requires periodic reporting by telephone companies and
the universal service administrator. The information is used by the
Commission, Federal-State Joint Boards, Congress, and the general
puboic to assess the impacts of the decisions of the Commission and
the Joint Boards.

The Commission is reporting a
243 hour increase adjustment in the total annual burden. This is
due to an increase of 364 responses since the last time this
collection was submitted to OMB for review and approval. Therefore,
the burden has been recalculated.
