USAID works in countries around the
world where terrorist organizations are based. Federal Law requires
that neither the Agency or recipients of USAID assistance provide
material support and resources to terrorist organizations or
individuals. This certification is these requirements. Respondents
will be U.S. and non-U.S. non-governmental organizations and
individuals who are applying for assistance programs financed by
USAID.
USAID requested additional time
to complete its analysis of current data on the burden for this
information collection. As we recently clarified, the certification
itself has not changed since 2004, but we analyzed the supporting
documentation in our request to OMB for renewal of the
collection.
