Abstract: The collected data will be used for developing regional economic models for the Southeast Alaska fishing industry. Accurate fishery-level data about labor and other expenditures for prosecuting the fisheries are not currently available. The survey response information will be incorporated into models that will provide more reliable information about economic effects to communities from fishery management policy decisions. The requested change would add the option of completion or partial completion of the worksheet after the key informant interview, via mail or Web, rather than in anticipation of the interview.
