Goal: Determine which of a number of specific academic, research, nonprofit, and other sectors are the most likely users of government payments, collections, debt and accounting information.



Introduction



My name is ______________ and I’m from a research firm called Artemis Strategy Group. We’re doing an exploratory study on behalf of the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Bureau of the Fiscal Service related to efforts to make financial information from the U.S. government more accessible. We’re trying to identify the types of organizations or professionals most likely to have a need or interest in this kind of data. I’d like to ask you just a couple questions about your interest in and use of this kind of data. It should only take a few minutes.

Let me give you a little more background on what we’re asking about. The Treasury’s Fiscal Service handles most of the payments, collections and other financial transactions of the U.S. government. Information on those transactions is available in various reports from the government through publications that are often available on the Treasury’s web sites.
