The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) proposes to conduct a census of existing ASE programs in the United States and gather information from each site to address the objectives described above. Key personnel in the existing programs will be sent a mailed questionnaire. Respondents can also choose to answer the questionnaire by completing a PDF form of the questionnaire. The research team will follow-up with emails and phone calls, as needed, to collect missing information. This census is expected to provide data relevant to ASE development and delivery that will improve ASE programs and broaden public acceptance
