Abstract: The information is used by FRA to ensure that railroad car owners follow an established schedule for placing retroreflective material on the sides of freight rolling stock (freight cars and locomotives) in order to enhance visibility of trains. The information is also used by FRA to confirm that railroads/car owners meet the prescribed standards for the application, inspection, and maintenace of the required retroreflective material.

Short Statement: This is a second request for a non-material or non-substance change concerning this information collection due to the total burden being incorrectly listed in the OMB inventory as 56,789 hours instead of the correct 56,787 hours. FRA is requesting a prompt change to the FRA OMB inventory so that it can then quicky transmit the regular renewal submission for this information collection. Thanks!
