Abstract: The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) will be implementing a six month pilot program where the agency will be maintaining a registry of businesses that have self-certified their status as Section businesses. The Section 3 business pilot registry will be implemented in five metropolitan areas: Washington, DC; Los Angeles, CA; New Orleans, LA; Miami, FL; and Detroit, MI. This pilot registry will facilitate the award of contracts and subcontracts to eligible firms in compliance with the Section 3 regulation at 24 CFR Part 135.
