The purpose of this information collection is to solicit opinions from individuals who participated in the Education Leaders Institute program (ELI 6) held in May 2011. The information collected from participants through telephone interviews will be used to improve the program. The interviews will be conducted by phone. The cooperatorÂthe Illinois Arts CouncilÂwill select a stratified sample of 10 individuals using as factors state team representation (2 individuals from each participating state), perceived degree of participation and engagement in ELI 6, and plans for implementation in their state. The entire population of ELI 6 participants (n = 30) will be surveyed. The surveys will be administered online, using SurveyMonkey.

The Arts Endowment is committed to improvement of its programs. The Education Leaders Institute, which brings together state teams of arts education stakeholders, is an agency leadership initiative to encourage collaboration to address arts education issues at the state level. The proposed information collection, led by the agency's cooperator, the Illinois Arts Council, is intended to collect information that will inform program improvement. This information collection was not included in the initial estimates for the Generic Clearance for the Collection of Routine Customer Feedback but is being submitted under this clearance.
