Abstract: The NIST Summer Institute for Middle School Science Teachers (NIST Summer Institute) and the NIST Research Experience (NIST RET) provide funding to U.S. public school districts or U.S. accredited private educational institutions for middle school science teachers to participate in hands-on activities, lectures, tours, or research with scientists and engineers in NIST laboratories.
