Abstract: The Office of Emergency Communications (OEC), formed under Title XVIII of the Homeland Security Act of 2002, 6 U.S.C. § 101 et seq., as amended, hosts multiple events annually, including conferences, meetings, workshops, and others to meet its statutory mandate of "conduct[ing] extensive, nationwide outreach and foster[ing] the development of interoperable emergency communications capabilities by state, regional, local, and tribal governments and public safety agencies, and by regional consortia thereof." Registration for such events requires collection of basic contact information and employment data on each participant in a registration form. In addition, to plan for the event properly and to evaluate the effectiveness of the event, pre-meeting and post-meeting evaluation data will be collected in respective evaluation forms.
