SUBJECT: Posting of Certification Templates for Model Year 2013 and Later Heavy-Duty Highway Engine and Vehicle Families

Dear Manufacturer:

The purpose of this letter is to announce the posting of the certification templates you must use to submit Pre-Model Year Reports or Certification Applications for all your engine and vehicle families regulated under 40 CFR Parts 1036 and1037; 49 CFR Parts 523, 534 and 535; and other parts referenced therein. All certification and compliance requirements are specified in the Environmental Protection Agency and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration heavy-duty greenhouse gas final rule entitled, “Greenhouse Gas Emissions Standards and Fuel Efficiency Standards for Medium- and Heavy-Duty Engines and Vehicles” (see 76 FR 57106).

The Heavy-duty Pick-Up Trucks and Vans Pre-Model Year Report template and the Heavy-duty Combination Tractors and Vocational Vehicles Certification Application template can be found on our website at http://www.epa.gov/otaq/certdat2.htm.

To access the Heavy-duty Engines Greenhouse Gas template, use the same certification template you currently use for heavy-duty engine criteria emissions certification.
