T ITLE OF INFORMATION COLLECTION: User feedback on Publication No. FHWA-HI-88-054 Visual Impact Assessment for Highway Projects

PURPOSE: The FHWA currently plans to update its guidance document Visual Impact Assessment for Highway Projects. As part of this effort it is necessary to solicit feedback from users of the existing document to learn whether state DOTs use the guidance and to obtain suggestions on ways to improve the guidance to obtain more widespread implementation.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONDENTS: Anticipated respondents are DOT staff from the fifty states, Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia, or discipline practitioners responding on their behalf.
