Abstract: Under Title 42 USC 3722, National Institute of Justice,to assess whether hate crime data gathered by national data collection programs can be used to understand trends in hate crimes against immigrants and Hispanic-Americans. In order to better understand the trends, national data will be supplemented with police surveys, key informant interviews and focus groups in 4 states.
