TITLE OF INFORMATION COLLECTION: Web-based Survey of DIRLINE database


PURPOSE:

The purpose of the survey is to identify the target audience and their satisfaction with NLM’s DIRLINE an online database containing information about health-serving organizations. We have a hypothesis that the target audiences for DIRLINE are librarians. We want to conduct the survey to prove or disprove our supposition. We also want to measure the level of customer satisfaction with the DIRLINE database and solicit the customers’ feedback regarding the various fields presented in individual DIRLINE database records.



DESCRIPTION OF RESPONDENTS:

Overall the respondents will be individuals who are using the DIRLINE databases to find information about specific health-service organizations. They will include medical, academic or public librarians, health-care providers and public health professionals.
