Dear ^RespFirstName ^,

We are writing to request your assistance regarding an important national evaluation funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF). Please click here to read a letter from NSF about the importance of your participation.

NSF is very interested in surveying you about your experiences as a current or former recipient of a Master Teaching Fellowship from the Noyce program at [IHE_Name] (i.e., [AWARD NAME]).

Abt Associates, an independent social research firm, has been contracted by the NSF to conduct a national evaluation of their Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program. Over the past several months we have been surveying Noyce Principal Investigators, university faculty, and administrators of K-12 schools where Noyce recipients were recently teaching. We would greatly appreciate your assistance by clicking the below link and taking approximately 30 minutes to complete our confidential online survey for Noyce recipients: ^SLink^

Please try to complete this survey within the next week. If you need more time, please let us know. Please note that if you received this award but later dropped out and/or withdrew from your teaching certification program, we would still like for you to complete our survey. However, if you never received funding from a Noyce program, please let us know by replying to this e-mail.

This is a voluntary survey and nonparticipation will have no impact on you or your relationship with NSF, the Noyce program or [IHE_Name]. However, the success of this evaluation depends on our ability to survey as many people involved in the Noyce program as possible so we may learn about the effects of the program across the country.

If you have any questions about your participation in this study, this survey, or need technical support, please contact Abt Associates project staff at [email protected], or toll free at 855-203-0307. You may also contact Joan Prival, the Lead Program Director of the Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program, by e-mailing [email protected], or Connie Kubo Della-Piana, the Program Evaluation Officer at the Division of Undergraduate Education within the National Science Foundation, by e-mailing [email protected].

Pursuant to 5 CFR 1320.5(b), an agency may not conduct or sponsor, and a person is not required to respond to an information collection unless it displays a valid OMB control number.  The OMB control number for this collection is 3145-0217.  Public reporting burden for this collection of information is estimated to average 30 minutes per response, including the time for reviewing instructions.  Send comments regarding this burden estimate and any other aspect of this collection of information, including suggestions for reducing this burden, to:  Suzanne Plimpton, Reports Clearance Officer, Facilities and Operations Branch, Division of Administrative Services, National Science Foundation, Arlington, VA  22230.

Sincerely,

Ellen Bobronnikov
