Change Request, Equine Survey, OMB No. 0535-0227

NASS is submitting this non-substantive change request to the Equine Survey, OMB Control Number 0535-0227. NASS has entered into a cooperative agreement with the Kentucky Horse Council, the University of Kentucky, the University of Louisville - College of Business, and the Kentucky Agricultural Development Fund to conduct a survey of farms that have various types of equine on their operations. The cooperators liked the Maryland Equine Census questionnaire that was submitted in the current OMB approved package as a place holder for future surveys. They have made several minor changes to this questionnaire to accommodate their needs and the needs of the equine industry in Kentucky.

The sample size and statistical methodology that was covered in the original approval have not changed for this survey.
