These surveys are conducted through reimbursable or cooperative agreements. Results are used to provide an assessment of the equine industry's contribution to a State's economy in terms of infrastructure and value. This docket approval allows NASS to conduct reimbursable equine surveys in a timely manner. Quite often reimbursable agreements have a short window for approval or acceptance to meet budgetary constraints.
