Extension without change of a currently approved collection
This information collection request is
for an extension of OMB authorization to complete the follow-up
impact data collection activities related to the CARES project for
four-year olds who are now in kindergarten. The study utilizes a
group-based randomized experimental design to test the effects of
three very different evidence-based program enhancements designed
to improve the social and emotional development of three- and
four-year old children in Head Start classrooms. The study aims to
provide the information federal policy makers and Head Start
providers will need if they are to increase Head Start's capacity
to improve the social-emotional skills and school readiness of
preschool-age children.
