The purpose of the Quantitative Consumer Research  Price Elasticity Survey is to assist the United States Mint in identifying marketing strategies to meet customer demand and expectations for purchasing United States Mint products as well as enabling the United States Mint to comply with Executive Order 12862 and to fulfill its mission. The mission of the United States Mint is to manufacture the highest quality circulating, numismatic, and bullion coins at the lowest possible cost and to deliver them in a timely manner, to expand our markets through exceptional customer service, product development, and innovative marketing, to sell numismatic and bullion products at a reasonable price and profit, and to provide security over assets entrusted to us.
The US Mint requests emergency processing of this ICR. Expedited processing is necessary to commence with the survey April 16, 2012. The survey is being performed by contractors. Not being able to commence with the survey during the requested time periods planned, will not allow enough time to adequately gather the data to meet the objectives outlined in the supporting documentation for the information collection.
