The Academic Libraries Survey has been a component of the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System. Since 2002 it has been a separate biennial survey. Changes to the survey itself are minor from prior collections of this universe survey. The data are collected on the web and consist of information about library holdings, library staff, library services and usage, library technology, library budget and expenditures for 4300 academic libraries in the U.S.

There is a change to the questionnaire due to thirteen items being deleted and two items being added (rewording from previous items). This is a program change (reduction) due to the deletion of thirteen items from the questionnaire, and an adjustment (increase) due to a correction in hours. The previous burden was not correct for the hours/response, and this C request has corrected that error.
