In recent years, problem-solving court programs have proliferated rapidly in volume and variety. The
National Center for State Courts (NCSC), in collaboration with the National Drug Court Institute (NDCI)
and a committee of national experts, are undertaking a much-needed national census of
problem-solving courts.
The Census of Problem-Solving Courts, funded by the Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) seeks to
accomplish two critical goals:
(1) Compile an accurate count of the number and types of all state problem-solving court programs
across the nation, and
(2) Develop a clearer national understanding of what constitutes a “problem-solving court.”
To realize these goals, we need your help. We hope you will accept this invitation to participate.
To begin the Census, simply click on the web link below or copy the address and paste it in your Internet
browser. You will be prompted to type in your User ID and 5-digit Access Code, listed below.
