Attachment 13 instructions

Instructions: Enter your information in the table below. Please exclude federal programs, tribal courts (as a general rule, unless they are specialized to address an underlying social issue such as a tribal drug court), and civil programs/courts that have a contractual component (e.g., mortgage foreclosure, business courts, complex litigation programs). While some courts categorize within their terminology “civil” case types such as family, domestic relations, or domestic violence, this Census does not automatically exclude such programs addressing these issues, if they meet the definition of a problem-solving court.

Please employ these 3 criteria for inclusion.
The court in question:
1) operates within the judiciary (i.e., as part of the judicial rather than executive branch),
2) operates as a dedicated docket/calendar or program (dedicated to a particular social issue or a method of case processing), and
3) has a dedicated judicial officer(s) (i.e., the judicial officer has the authority of the court and is assigned to the problem-solving cases).

In the space below, please enter any inclusion or exclusion criteria you employed when developing this list.
