Seeking Consumers with Bankruptcy Experience for Informational Interviews


We are looking for [location] area residents who have filed for Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 bankruptcy in the last few years to participate in informational interviews. These interviews are being sponsored by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), a federal government agency that was created to help consumers. Participants will be asked to interact with and provide feedback on letters and notices that are sent to consumers during the bankruptcy process.


These interviews are private, and no information will be shared with debt collectors, attorneys, collection firms, or others that try to recover debt. The feedback will be used to help understand and improve materials related to the bankruptcy process.


The interviews will last 60 minutes and participants will be paid $75. The study will take place at [location] and we are currently scheduling participants for [dates].

I am a researcher with Fors Marsh Group and we are working with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, a federal government agency, to improve materials sent to people in bankruptcy. Public records show that you recently filed for Chapter [7/13] bankruptcy, and we would be interested in talking with you about your experience and getting your feedback on the letters and notices that are sent to people in bankruptcy.


The one-on-one interview will be 60 minutes in length and participants will be paid $75.
