Abstract: The Federal Trade Commission seeks to conduct an evaluation of Admongo, its advertising literacy program for children ages 8 - 12. The evaluation will involve a randomized controlled trial of the Admongo program involving 6,000 - 8,000 students. This research will be conducted to further the FTC's mission of protecting consumers from unfair and deceptive marketing.

Short Statement: This is a proposed new information collection. that would evaluate the effectiveness of Admongo. The evaluation will expose a randomly selected group of 3rd – 6th grade classrooms to the Admongo curriculum and then administer an ad literacy test to measure students' knowledge. The same test also will be administered to a control group of classrooms that did not experience Admongo and the performance of the two groups will then be analyzed for evidence that Admongo improves ad literacy. Teachers of these students will administer the test, monitor the classroom, and collect the completed tests. Sampled students would experience the Admongo lessons, play the associated online game, and take a test
