CFR Section 49 regarding the availability of mine rescue teams;
alternate mine rescue capability for small and remote mines and
mines with special mining conditions; inspection and maintenance
records of mine rescue equipment and apparatus; physical
requirements for team members and alternates; and experience and
training requirements for team members and alternates.
Respondents: There was an
increase of 30 respondents (from 224 to 254) due to an increase in
the number of underground M/NM mines. Responses: There was an
increase of 3,170 (from 16,873 to 20,043) due to an increase in the
number of underground M/NM mines. Burden Hours: There was an
increase of 1,286 burden hours from 8,825 to 10,111 due to an
increase in the number of respondents, underground M/NM mines.
