The collection of information is used
by FRA and State MP&E safety inspectors to conduct more
thorough, more effective, and more efficient sample car inspections
of different types of rail freight cars that are constructed at
manufacturing facilities in this country.

The total burden for this
revised information collection submission has increased by 82
hours. The increase in burden is due solely to one program change
that reflects the added estimated burden for new Form FRA F
6180.4EZ. The current total burden for this information collection
shows 162 hours, while the total burden for this revised submission
amounts to 244 hours. Hence, there is a increase of 82 hours. There
is no change in burden cost to respondents from the last approved
submission. ***** As mentioned in the Supporting Justification, new
Form FRA F 6180.4EZ is in the process of being made into a PDF
fillable format and will be uploaded once it is completed.
