Thanks for the Ability to submit a comment, I feel these recommendations are to vague, to broad
and will serve to stigmatize and discriminate against Obese or Overweight drivers. I feel that a driver
should stand on his/her performance in a truck, not as a lab rat. I have numerous safety citations, I
have several for driving a car for more then 30 years with NO ACCIDENTS, I have the same for my
truck/s, I have driven several types of trucks and have a exemplary driving record. But now I find
myself pigeonholed by a new law/mandate that serve's to make me a target. Like most Professional
drivers I feel its an affront to my driving record, and my professionalism that Ive carried myself in a
manner that should find myself feeling good about what I do. Today I live in fear because of a
proposed test, a intrusion into my private life because of Statistics presented by a Lobby, who stand
to profit from these tests. I think this type of law is not being brought forth for safety sake, but pushed
and shoved thru by Lobbyists, the Sleep Industry, and this board. I stand against it, I feel as if my
career is in jeapardy even after a PERFECT DRIVING record which is not taken into account. I
believe drivers with Perfect records should be exempt from this intrusion, and our safe driving record
should finally stand for something. Now becausde I am a large man i will be stygmatized, and put
thru tests and costs that I dont need, nor do I wish to pay for them, Out of my own pocket because I
have no Health insurance. I think you should allow those of us who have a driving record that
represents myself as the Professional Driver I value myself to be, statistics are not perfect, everyone
doesnt have or isnt afflicted with these so called sleep disorders. I ask that driving records and safe
drivers be given and exclusion from these tests.
