This final rulemaking is a revision to various sections of the 30 CFR 250 regulations that will amend drilling regulations in subparts D, E, F, and Q. This includes requirements that will implement various safety measures that pertain to drilling, well-completion, well-workovers, and abandoning / decommissioning operations. The information collected will ensure sufficient redundancy in the BOPs; promote the integrity of the well and enhance well control; and facilitate a culture of safety through operational and personnel management. This Final Rule will promote human safety and environmental protection.
