To notify consumers of the country of origin of muscle cuts of beef (including veal), lamb, chicken, goat, and pork; ground beef, ground lamb, ground chicken, ground goat, and ground pork; wild and farm-raised fish and shellfish; perishable agricultural commodities; macadamia nuts; pecans; ginseng; and peanuts.
There is a decrease of -6,236,954 burden hours due to a decrease in firms that are subject to COOL and would need to establish a record collection system. Since the information collection requirement for the COOL regulations was part of the initial rule, established firms should not have any additional burden hours due to establishing a system record keeping system.
