CDC provides funding to 37 Prevention Research Centers which are housed within schools of public health, medicine or osteopathy. PRCs conduct outcomes-oriented health promotion and disease prevention research on a broad range of topics using a multi-disciplinary and community-based approach. CDC plans to continue collecting information from PRCs to monitor progress and activities.
