For Worker Survey:

The following statement will be read to non-cell phone respondents of the Worker Survey prior to beginning the telephone interview.

Hello, my name is [INTERVIEWER] and I'm calling on behalf of Abt Associates. We are conducting a national study on American work experiences and benefits.

Your individual answers will remain private and will be combined with responses from about 10,000 people who are also participating in the study. Study results will be used by the U.S. Department of Labor and researchers to learn what workers know about their employment situation, so your opinions are important.

Your participation is voluntary and all information you provide will be kept private. We will not provide information that identifies you to anyone outside the study team, except as required by law. If we should come to any question you don’t understand or don’t want to answer, I’ll try to clarify or we can move on to the next question. The survey should take about 15 minutes to complete.
