Abstract: Data from this collection are needed to: 1) understand the nature and volume of catch associated with non-commercial, shore-based on St. Croix; 2) document the socio-demographic characteristics of this segment of the non-commercial fishing public; and 3) provide information on the subsistence nature of shore-based, non-commercial fishing activities on St. Croix. The data will be used by resource managers to inform fishery management activities and to facilitate education/outreach efforts directed at the non-commercial, shore-based fishing public. The respondents will be persons who engage in non-commercial fishing activities along the shoreline on St. Croix, USVI.
