Information from FE-746R is necessary
to perform required functions related to applications for authority

Applications are required by statute and provide the decision maker

Based on prior years, DOE
expects to receive 151 short-term applications per year (up from
125 in 2010), 36 long-term applications per year (up from 10 in
2010) and 3,912 monthly reports each year (up from 3900 in 2010),
which represents 326 currently active authorizations times 12
months per year. Based on this information, DOE expects the total
burden for this information will be 12,978 hours.
