As someone who heas experienced being under
the leash of EOBR's, I feel that the only thing they
actually do is keep me from doing personal things
like getting to a truck stop at the end of a shift to
take a shower, or getting home at the end of the
week. This all boils down to people who don't drive
trucks telling people, who have driven for years,
how to drive. If I am tired I pull over no matter what.
I don't need a machine telling me when and how
long I have to take a break or go to sleep. If
someone needs this kind of help, they don't belong
in a truck in the first place. If you ask me what
would reduce accidents, mount dash cams in all the
trucks so driving habits can be observed. Get the
bad drivers off the roads and let us drivers do our
jobs the way we have always done. Its bad enough
we are working for the same pay we worked for 10
years ago, you have to put a leash on us too. I
wonder how these lawmakers would feel if they had
to rely on a machine to tell them when they go to
bed, the bathroom, take a shower or not, or the
worst what if their machine told them they were too

tired to drive 1/2 hour home at the end of their work
day. ("Sorry, mr. legislator you have to sleep in your
car tonight with no shower!") Think they would ever
pass a law like that? But when it comes to them
telling us how we should do things, they do it at the
drop of a hat with no thought to us, the drivers.
